It's taking longer than I'd like to get a couple of specific paintings done. I was gone pretty much all day yesterday, had very limited time the day before (but DID manage to get some stencils made and one painting done), and had planned on finishing at least 2 paintings tonight, and getting a good start on 2 more. So I got started on the first one, "Once Upon a Time", set it aside for it to dry before the next bit, cut out my stencils for the other one, "Not Kansas", then went back to OUaT. Unfortunately, it turned out that I hadn't left it long enough, because when I was taking the stencils up from what should have been the nearly finished painting, up came some of the top layer of my poster board with them in a few spots! ARGH! I had forgotten to take the humidity into account. So, I painted over the damage and I'm going to put some Mod Podge on the marred bits to seal it up and then paint over it again, Hopefully, that will fix it, rather than having to scrap the whole thing and start over. Other than the messed up bits, it looks very nice, and just as I envisioned it.

So, THEN, I turned my attention back to NK, and was on a roll - totally in the zone - and... It bloody starts raining! So, had to quickly put everything away and bring both unfinished paintings inside. Grrr. So, that's why neither of the paintings I told several people should be up today aren't. Oh well. Maybe I'll have some time on Sunday or Monday and the weather will cooperate.
